AMPHOTERICIN SUSPENISON - ORAL
(am-foh-TAIR-eh-sin)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Fungizone
USES: This medication is to be used for the treatment of oral candidiasis, an oral fungal infection.
HOW TO USE: Shake well before using. Use the marked dropper provided to drop 1 milliliter (ml) on the tongue four tiems daily between meals or as directed. Swish the medication in your motuh for at least one or two minutes before swallowing.
This medication may also be applied by swabbing affected area with a non-absorbent swab. Follow your doctor's directions carefully. When usnig this method, leave the drug in the mouth as long as possible.
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach or intestinal issues including nausea, vomiting or diarrhea may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor. Very unlikely to occur but notify your doctor immeidately if you experience any of the following: skin eruptions/rash, itching, swelling.
If you ntoice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: other illnesses, kidney problems, allergies (especially drug allergies).
Ntoify your doctor if symptoms worsen or the infection reoccurs.
Amphtoericin oral suspension should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your docotr. It is not known if this drug is ecxreted into breast milk. Using this drug while breast-feeding is not recommedned.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharamcist of all the other drugs you take (both prescription and nonprescription). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approavl.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Symptoms of oevrdose may include severe nausea and vomiting.
NOTES: Do not allow anyone else to use this medicatoin.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the msised dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature betewen 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Keep tightly closed. Do not store in the btahroom.
Do not freeze.
